Horse Rescue Angels Foundation is a foundation that was founded a year ago by Valerie Shearman and Janesse Augot, both who have many decades of experience with horses. Valerie and Janesse both had the idea after a good discussion with the owner to step in and create their own horse rescue organization. 

Their objective is to try to rescue and stop the unnecessary slaughter of horses, ponies and donkeys to rehabilitate and rehome these animals. Their mandate is to raise awareness to the public of what goes on after these horses are sent to auction and protect these beautiful animals from death.

Horse Rescue Angels is a non-profit organization that relies heavily on donations from both, the public and private corporate sectors to continue to assist these horses. Much of their fundraising is done through small events and online media and periodically they need to turn to larger corporations for support.

HRAF is now focusing on the upcoming auctions to purchase as many horses as they can which will not be cheap. Without financial donations and supplies from the public, this will not be possible. Foster homes for the horses have already been secured as far as Alberta. Horse Rescue Angels is very grateful to those amazing people who are supporting them on their journey.
